First Day of School

Today was the first day of school. These are some pictures that I took. The first one is of our director, principal, addressing all of the teachers. The others are of a ceremony that took place later in the day. All of the students line up in their classes and several flags are brought out, the Bulgarian flag and the school flag. Everyone was then suppose to stand at attention and sign the national anthem. Apparently this ceremony is a left over from communist times, and the whole thing was very interesting but also somewhat surreal to me. Actual classes don't start until next week monday.
